AllVote is a Super PAC that works to “mobilize progressive voters” and engages in get-out-the-vote (GOTV) activities, such as sending text messages to eligible voters. 1
AllVote was a subject of controversy during the 2024 election cycle for sending erroneous text messages to thousands of voters in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Arizona. Some stated the recipients had already voted when, in fact, many had not; AllVote officials claimed that the erroneous statements resulted from copy-editing errors. 1

Activities and Funding
AllVote is a super PAC that works to “mobilize progressive voters” and engages in get-out-the-vote activities, such as sending text messages to eligible voters. 1
According to the Washington Free Beacon, AllVote can trace its origins to the left-of-center Rapid Resist Action, which was formed by Obama administration official Yoni Landau in 2017. 10 AllVote’s website links to a legal disclaimer that has a Resist Action web address 12 and is a part of a “complex network of nonprofits and super PACs overseen by Landau” through Movement Labs, according to the Beacon. 10
Controversy
In 2024, AllVote sent erroneous text messages to thousands of voters in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Arizona, some of which mistakenly said the recipients had already voted. These messages had errors regarding polling place locations in some states. 1
AllVote faced criticism from the Wisconsin Election Commission for a misleading text message campaign that reached 15,000 Wisconsin voters that included a link to an inaccurate election website. 1
In October 2024, thousands of Pennsylvania voters received a message from the group that falsely claimed they had already voted in the upcoming November 5 elections. 13 Other reports of the text message campaign came from Durham County, North Carolina; 14 Maricopa County, Arizona; 15 McClean County, Illinois; and the New Mexico secretary of state’s office. Officials in New Mexico have said that the mass text messages were “something that the feds really need to look at and crack down on.” 10 16
AllVote spokesperson Charlotte Clymer said the messages were a “copy-editing error by staff working long hours” and the organization claimed that the messages should have told voters that they cast their ballots in 2022 instead of 2024. The organization sent follow-up messages trying to correct the error, but it was unlikely that all recipients of the first message received the follow-up correction. 1
Funding
LinkedIn founder and left-of-center donor Reid Hoffman’s organization Patriotic Republic has given at least $270,000 to Rapid Resist Action, the organization the Washington Free Beacon identified as part of the network in which AllVote was created, since 2023. 17 10
