The Economic Speakers Bureau was launched in June 2023. 6 As of June 2024, the Economic Speakers Bureau is searching for an executive director 7 who supports left-of-center economic policymaking. 8
Instead of utilizing a traditional organizational structure, the Economic Speakers Bureau has a “team of experts” to advance its priorities. 9 Its prominent experts include Biden administration and Obama administration National Economic Council and Federal Trade Commission official Tim Wu; 10 former SEIU labor union, Obama for America, Obama administration, Biden-Harris Transition, Biden administration White House advisor, and American Economic Liberties Project member Elizabeth Wilkins; 11 12 and Obama administration Office of Management and Budget and U.S. Department of Labor official Sharon Block. 13 14

The Economic Speakers Bureau develops economic speakers to appear as commentators on cable news programs, radio programs, and in print to influence economic policymaking. 18
The Economic Speakers Bureau supports the far-left concept of a just and inclusive economy. 19 The organization also opposes reductions to the National Science Foundation’s budget 20 and has supported Biden administration spending programs and policies such as the Inflation Reduction Act. 21 22
The Economic Speakers Bureau has urged U.S. Congressional leaders to use the expiration of the 2017 Trump administration tax cut law to push for an overhaul of the American tax code to create the far-left concept of “inclusive growth.” 23
