House Majority Forward (HMF) is the issue advocacy arm of the House Majority PAC, a super PAC associated with the U.S. House Democratic leadership that is a major financial supporter of U.S. Congressional Democrats. HMF focuses on climate change, social justice, economics, and democracy, and produces ads in favor of Democratic candidates and opposed to Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives. 1 2 3 3

Activities
House Majority Forward is a Democratic Party-aligned political advocacy organization that supports Democratic candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, attacks Republican candidates, and promotes left-of-center policies and political action on the subjects of environmentalism, social justice, democracy, and economics. 1 2 3
House Majority Forward promotes a transition to weather-dependent energy to address climate change, claims “leaders” are proactively trying to disenfranchise voters, and promotes government-sponsored “health care for all.” 4
HMF also produces political advertisements. Ads include an attack on U.S. Representative David Valadao (R-CA) for presiding over a rising cost of living, ads attacking then-U.S. Representatives Marc Malinaro (R-NY) and Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY) for their opposition to abortion, an ad supporting U.S. Representative Gabe Vasquez (D-NM) for his advocacy for border security and police officers, and an ad supporting U.S. Representative Jared Golden (D-ME) for helping to build a veterans’ hospital in Maine. 5 6 7 8 9
In early 2025, Axios reported House Majority Forward was beginning a $10 million campaign to attack then-President-elect Donald Trump’s proposed legislative agenda and to conduct polling designed to prove that Republican policies would be damaging economically. 2
HMF accepts donations through ActBlue Civics, the 501(c)(4) arm of the left-of-center pass-through political action committee and fundraising platform for left-leaning organizations ActBlue. 10
Leadership
The president of House Majority Forward is Mike Smith, a longtime Democratic Party staffer. Mike Smith is also the president of the House Majority PAC, a position he has held since January 2023. Previously, Smith was a senior advisor for the House Majority PAC; a senior advisor, deputy executive director, and national finance director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC); the political director for then-Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA); assistant treasurer for Rep. Pelosi’s campaign; assistant treasurer for PAC to the Future; deputy national finance director of the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign; finance director for then-U.S. House Minority Leader Pelosi, and a development staffer for the Center for American Progress. 2 11
Financials
According to tax filings, in 2022, House Majority Forward reported $25,099,110 in revenue, $23,838,884 in expenses, and $5,307,580 in assets. That year, HMF reported that it conducted research and promoted left-of-center engagement on economics, social justice, environmentalism, and democracy through direct mail as well as TV, radio, and digital advertising. HMF also reported making grants to the Democratic Party-aligned House Majority PAC ($7,650,000), Center Forward ($600,000), Working America ($1,000,000), the Unite Here Action Fund ($1,000,000), and Americans for Contraception ($1,000,000). 1
