The Tides Two Rivers Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed in 2003 in San Francisco, California. 2 As a supporting nonprofit, the Two Rivers Fund is directly controlled by two other nonprofits in the Tides Nexus: the Tides Foundation, the system’s primary pass-through funder; the Tides Center, the system’s fiscal sponsorship nonprofit. 3 However, a separate nonprofit, the Tides Network, has the sole “power to appoint members of the governing body” of TTRF; the Tides Network has a similar arrangement with other nonprofits in the Tides Nexus. 4

According to its 2018 IRS Form 990 tax filing, the Two Rivers Fund describes its mission as the following: 5
