The Research Collaborative Fund is a center-left donors collaborative run by the Public Policy Institute of California. The Fund is a project of the New Venture Fund, a 501(c)(3) funding and fiscal sponsorship nonprofit created and managed by the for-profit consultancy Arabella Advisors.

Startup funding for the Fund came from Pierre Omidyar’s Democracy Fund, the Ford Foundation, and Wellspring Philanthropic Fund. 1

The Fund has provided grants to the Brookings Institution to conduct studies on voter registration efforts during tax collection periods. 2
