Activity

Every Eligible American is a social welfare organization that advocates for making voting more accessible, educates the public on the roles of secretaries of state in increasing the accessibility of voting, and uses media to oppose the enactment of right-of-center election integrity policies. 4 Safe Accessible Fair Elections (SAFE), a PAC associated with the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State (DASS), and Every Eligible American operate out of the same address in Washington D.C. 5 6

Every Eligible American partners with America Votes, a left-of-center lobbying and advocacy coalition. 7

Funding

Every Eligible American has contributed $8,000,000 to Safe Accessible Fair Elections, 8 9 $4 million of which occurred within a month of Election Day in 2022. 10 Every Eligible American received $500,000 in grants from groups managed by the left-leaning Arabella Advisors. It also received a $400,000 grant from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a left-leaning lobbying and advocacy organization, in 2021. 11 The Hopewell Fund, another left-leaning pass-through nonprofit, gave a grant of $100,000 to Every Eligible American in 2021. 12

People

Kim Rogers is the executive director for Every Eligible American and the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State. 13 Rogers is on the board of directors for the Alliance For Youth Action, a left-of-center youth voter turnout advocacy group. 14 She has staffed several left-of-center voter turnout organizations, including Everybody Votes, NextGen Climate, Rock the Vote, and America Coming Together. 15

Rogers worked for labor unions as a manager for campaigns and elections with the National Education Association and as a political director for United Food and Commercial Workers. 16 She has been a speaker and trainer for Netroots Nation, a convention of left-leaning bloggers and online activists. 17 Rogers campaigned for Democratic groups, including the Democratic Leadership Council and the Iowa Democratic Party. 18

On Twitter, Rogers has taken left-leaning positions on election and abortion policy proposals. Rogers tweeted that one political party “blocks reform at the federal level while passing voter suppression and election subversion at the state level.” 19 In the same tweet, Rogers called that party “anti-democracy.” 20 Rogers criticized audits of the 2020 election, tweeting that they were part of a “game plan to diminish democracy.” 21 She called those questioning the results of the 2020 election “shit-pedalers.” 22 She also tweeted in favor of abortion, writing, “Abortion gave us Fleetwood Mac.” 23
