Pennsylvania Justice & Public Safety PAC is a left-of-center PAC that was created in 2019 to fund the unsuccessful campaign of Jack Stollsteimer, a progressive Democratic candidate for Delaware County District Attorney who ultimately withdrew from the race. The organization is the Pennsylvania branch of the vast “Safety and Justice” network, a project of left-leaning billionaire George Soros that used a network of similarly named state-level PACs to finance the campaigns of progressive Democratic candidates for district attorney in more than a dozen of America’s cities.

Funding

In 2019, Pennsylvania Justice & Public Safety PAC received a $1,000,000 contribution from George Soros, but ultimately refunded Soros $815,000.1 The PAC has not received any additional funding since 2019.2

Political Activities

In the leadup to the Democratic primary for Delaware County District Attorney, Pennsylvania campaign finance records reveal that the organization spent roughly $70,000 on advertising in support of Jack Stollsteimer.3

Though the PAC was formed to support Stollsteimer’s campaign, 2021 campaign finance records reveal that the organization has also begun supporting the campaign of Democratic Philadelphia District Attorney, Larry Krasner, accruing a $63,000 debt to left-leaning campaign communications firm, Berlin Rosen to pay for radio advertisements supporting Krasner.4 Krasner had been supported in his previous elections by the “Safety and Justice” network, reportedly receiving $1.7 million in support from S0ros in 2017.5
