The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) is the official party organ supporting Democratic Party candidates for state legislative offices.
2020 Election Cycle
The DLCC anticipates spending $50 million during the 2020 elections to help Democrats win state legislative races within Republican-controlled states and help influence the redistricting of congressional lines based on new census data. To this end, the DLCC has quadrupled its staff while reaching out to democrat-leaning groups including EMILY’s List and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee. [1] Such states being targeted include Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. [2]
Leadership
Jessica Post is the executive director and chief fundraiser for the DLCC since 2016. She previously worked as a field director for DLCC during the 2010 midterm elections. [3]
