In 2023, Pivotal Philanthropies Foundation, the private foundation of Melinda French Gates, made a $4.6 million grant and a $2.4 million grant to the Hopewell Fund to fund the Civic (Re)Solve Education Fund. 5 In 2023, the Hopewell Fund also received $2.0 million from the Ford Foundation, $300,000 from the Horizon Charitable Foundation, and $75,000 from the Moriah Fund. 2 3 4
In 2022, the Alumbra Innovations Foundation made a $700,000 grant to the Hopewell Fund to support the Civic (Re)Solve Education Fund. 6
Grantmaking
The Center for Civic Design lists the Civic (Re)Solve Education Fund as a partner organization, and in 2023, the Hopewell Fund reported on its tax returns that it made a $250,000 grant to the Center for Civic Design. 7 8
