Background

The Secure Democracy Foundation was founded in 2022 by Voting Rights Lab co-founder Megan Lewis. According to IRS tax exemption forms, the Foundation was started through a $4.8 million donation from the New Venture Fund in 2022. As of 2023, the Foundation is the parent organization of Voting Rights Lab. ³
