Unite and Renew Educational Foundation is the charitable sister organization of the left-of-center advocacy group Unite and Renew Fund. 1 Unite and Renew Educational Foundation supports the United and Renew Fund’s tax-deductible activities and transfers all the donation money it receives to Unite and Renew Fund’s selected partners. 2
These partner organizations include the American Democracy Project (a project of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities), Fair Maps Virginia, New Politics, United to Protect Democracy, Represent.US, and the Voting Rights Lab. 3

Unite and Renew Educational Foundation was founded in 2019 4 and given tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in 2022. 5 6 7
Harrison B. Miller is the founder and executive director of the Unite and Renew Educational Foundation. He is also the executive director of Unite and Renew Educational Foundation’s sister organization, the Unite and Renew Fund. 8 Prior to starting Unite and Renew, Miller worked at venture capital firm Summit Partners and was the vice president and general manager of technology and online retail company Amazon’s platform services. 9
Activities and Funding
Unite and Renew Educational Foundation is the charitable sister organization of the left-of-center advocacy group Unite and Renew Fund. Unite and Renew Educational Foundation supports the tax-deductible efforts of Unite and Renew Fund’s partner organizations. 10
The Unite and Renew Fund directs its prospective donors to donate to the Unite and Renew Educational Foundation. These donations are then passed directly to Unite and Renew Fund’s selected grantee partners, 11 whom Unite and Renew Fund views as “political entrepreneurs.” 12
These partner organizations include the American Democracy Project (a project of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities), Fair Maps Virginia, New Politics, United to Protect Democracy, RepresentUS, and the Voting Rights Lab . 13
Funding
Unite and Renew Education Foundation receives its funding from individual contributions and grants. 14 In 2021, Unite and Renew Education Foundation reported gross receipts of not greater than $50,000. 15
