Unions can make it happen.” 17 It has also advocated for left-of-center legislation towards immigration, climate, international relations, and housing reforms. 18 In 2023, One World Fund donated $30,000 to In These Times. 12
Trustees
Richard Healey is a political activist and is listed as the founder of the Grassroots Policy Project and New American Movement as well as a former director of the Institute for Policy Studies. 19 The Grassroots Policy Project has previously promoted connecting left-of-center policy advocacy to undo “the damage of neoliberalism” and that “overcomes white nationalism and transforms the underlying structures of racial capitalism.” 20
In the 1960s and 1970s Healy participated in the civil rights and anti-war movements, after which he started the New American Movement that was eventually absorbed into the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Healey is a board member of several organizations including the Partners for Dignity and Rights, See Forward Fund, the Commonwealth Foundation for Inclusive Democracy, and the One World Fund. 19 Healey is listed as a trustee of the One World Fund, and in 2024, he was compensated $160,000 for that role. 2
