Fighting Chance for Families Action is a project of the left-of-center Sixteen Thirty Fund and the advocacy affiliate of Fighting Chance for Families. The Sixteen Thirty Fund often operates alongside it’s charitable “sister” nonprofit New Venture Fund. Both groups are administered by philanthropic consulting firm Arabella Advisors. 1

The organization has advocated for left-of-center healthcare-related policies such as a permanently expanded child tax credit, which was a COVID-19 pandemic relief program created by the March 2021 American Rescue Plan Act which temporarily expanded tax credits for families from $2,000 per child per year to roughly $3,000 per child per year. 2 3

The project has worked with several left-of-center think tanks including Data for Progress and the Groundwork Collaborative4
