Centerline Liberties is a nonprofit organization that seeks to advance centrist public policy solutions that support constitutional liberties, a free market economy, and limited government. 1 Centerline Liberties is primarily concerned with the issues of election modernization, immigration and border security, conservation and clean energy infrastructure, LGBT interests, and contraceptive access. 2
Activities
Centerline Liberties claims that Americans are more united than divided. Centerline Liberties uses public-opinion survey results to argue that there is a forgotten majority of Americans who want lawmakers from all sides to work collectively to create policies that would positively impact all Americans. 3
Centerline Liberties promotes centrist public policy approaches that would support free, fair, and honest elections through federal funding; create common sense immigration policy and border security; reduce the economic and national security effects of climate change by investing in manufacturing and infrastructure; protect the ability of all couples to marry regardless of sex; and to keep contraception accessible and affordable to all Americans. 4
In 2022, Centerline Liberties contributed $143,500 to its advocacy affiliate, Centerline Action. 5
Funding
Centerline Liberties is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and businesses. While Centerline Liberties does not disclose its donors, tax filings confirm donations from the Clean Future Forum ($970,176 in 2022), 6 the Gill Foundation ($350,000 in 2022), 7 and the Bipartisan Policy Center ($90,000 in 2022). 8
