Paul Di Donato is president of the Proteus Fund, a major center-left funding and fiscal sponsorship nonprofit, its advocacy arm, Proteus Action League.

Prior to his appointment as president in January 2017, Di Donato was briefly interim president and CEO for the group during the departure of Proteus Fund founder Meg Gage. From 2007 to 2015, Di Donato was director of the Proteus Fund’s Civil Marriage Collaborative, a pro-gay marriage funding group created and managed by Proteus.

From 2007 to 2015, he also ran a private consulting firm that catered to a number of center-left clients, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Arcus Foundation. 1
