Kjersten Forseth is a left-of-center political activist and senior consultant for Red Rock Strategies, a Denver, Colorado-based political consulting firm. She is also chief political strategist for Rocky Mountain Voter Outreach, a Denver-based firm that aids Democrats and left-leaning groups in ballot initiatives and elections. Forseth is also political and legislative director for the Colorado AFL-CIO.
She previously worked as chief of staff to various Democratic politicians in the Colorado state legislature, executive director to the left-wing activist group ProgressNow Colorado, state director for Change That Works, and an organizer for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Until 2020 Forseth was a member of the advisory board for Western Values Project, an environmental advocacy group and a project of the “dark money” fiscal sponsorship nonprofit New Venture Fund. 1 2
