Stand Up Alaksa
Stand Up Alaksa is an activist group that promotes left-of-center policies in Alaska and at the national level. It advocates “social, housing, environmental, economic, and racial justice across the state of Alaska.” 1 The group calls for using “education, nonviolent resistance, and inclusive structures” 2 to “confront systemic injustice, mobilize community, and amplify underrepresented voices.” 1

The group has previously organized and participated in protests against the presidential administrations of Donald Trump and other Republicans. During the second Trump administration including an April 2025 march to the homes of Republican politicians as well as an Anchorage “No Kings Rally” that coincided with hundreds of similar protests across country and internationally against the Administration. 3 4

Stand Up Alaska labels itself as a “non-profit dedicated to inclusivity, community and sustainability” that advocates for “social, housing, environmental, economic, and racial justice across the state of Alaska.” 1 On its website, the group maintains a list of upcoming local events scheduled which include film screenings, organizing events, volunteer orientations, and community outreach. It also has links to sign up for volunteering, making donations, and receiving regular newsletters. 5 6
The website also manages a viewer for social media posts made by the group and a page for voter guides that provide information on election dates, ballot measures, and candidates. 7 8 9
Activism
In October 2025, Stand Up Alaska executive director Erin Jackson-Hill helped organize the Anchorage “No Kings” rally, which was one of hundreds of similar demonstrations to oppose policies promoted by the Trump administration. 3
In April 2025, the organization was one of several groups to organize and participate in
national protests against the Trump administration. Attendees of the protest marched to the homes of U.S Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) and U.S Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) while opposing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and holding signs reading, “Fight the oligarchy.” 4
