PEC will continue to evolve and implement its work in western PA, especially in the areas of trails and outdoor recreation, energy and climate, and other environmental and conservation issues. This will be accomplished through convenings, direct project activities, and policy development and implementation. We will leverage our expertise and partnerships at the local, regional, state, and national levels.
PEC is requesting support for our work in southwestern Pennsylvania to convene and collaborate with partners to address critical issues affecting environmental quality and community health in the region including effective decarbonization strategies and increased access to outdoor recreation. This funding will support the continuation of the Southwestern PA (SWPA) Decarbonization Forum, advancing decarbonization policies and the sustainable growth of our region’s multi-purpose trail networks.
