Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality (AACRE)
Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality (AACRE), formerly known as Chinese for Affirmative Action, is a San Francisco-based advocacy organization. Founded in 1969, its initial goals were equality of access to employment and the creation of job opportunities for Chinese Americans.

To support a program that helps remove barriers to civic participation, voice and power for Hmong residents through providing culturally-rooted supports for intergenerational leadership development, advocacy and deep alliance building at various levels in the power building eco-systems in the Central Valley and Sacramento regions of California to advance health equity and racial justice.
To expand strategic digital and other communications efforts to engage Chinese-language communities in California; combat disinformation and misinformation about community health, safety and social justice issues; and provide accurate and timely news and information on social justice issues along with community-based solutions.

Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) was founded in 1969 to protect the civil and political rights of Chinese Americans and to advance multiracial democracy in the United States. Today, CAA is a progressive voice in and on behalf of the broader Asian and Pacific American community. CAA advocates for systemic change that protects immigrant rights, promotes language diversity, and remedies racial injustice. Programs encompass community building, coalition building, research and analysis, and policy work to advance systemic and cultural change.
