Jared Huffman is a Democratic Party politician and the U.S. Representative for California’s 2nd Congressional District, a position he has held since 2013. Prior to his election to the California State Assembly, Huffman was a practicing consumer attorney and senior attorney to the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a left-of-center environmental advocacy group. ¹
