Voter Justice Project is a fiscally sponsored project of the left-of-center New Venture Fund, which is managed by left-leaning philanthropic consulting company Arabella Advisors. 1 It supports the restoration of voting rights for former prisoners across the United States and increased political power for these individuals. 2

History and Leadership

Katrina Gamble leads the Voter Justice Project. Gamble is the founder of left-of-center activist organization Sojourn Strategies  3 and has worked at left-of-center groups re:power, Civic Responsibility Project, and Center for Popular Democracy. 4 Gamble has spoken at the liberal Netroots Nation conference, 5 opposes police in schools, and supports the far-left Black Lives Matter movement. 6

Gamble helped develop a national prosecutor accountability hub that helped elect left-wing and George Soros-supported prosecutors across the nation 7 including Larry Krasner (D) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 8 and Kimberly Gardner (D) in St. Louis, Missouri. 9

The Voter Justice Project supports the restoration of voting rights for former prisoners across the United States, and supports increased political power for these individuals. The organization has also campaigned across the country and provided resources for organizations and individuals working on policy activism in this space. 11

In 2023, the Voter Justice Project worked with left-of-center Restore the Vote Minnesota to push for the restoration of voting rights for 55,000 Minnesotans who were previously convicted of felony crimes. 12 13 14
