    Background

Taking Actions is a coalition that advocates environmental protection, diversity, equality, and peace. 1 It was founded by activist AJ Palmar. 1  3

As of 2026, it was not clear if the organization was still active. The website listed on social media accounts, taking-actions.com, was not responsive as of January 2026. 3 Also, as of January 2026, the most recent Facebook post was dated October 28, 2023.  3 The most recent post on X (formerly Twitter) was made April 3, 2022. 2

Taking Actions says it is committed to promoting environmental sustainability, human rights, animal rights, diversity, equality, self-growth, tolerance, acceptance, kindness, and peace through advocacy and activism. 2

The Taking Actions page on Facebook says it invites people to “spread love, embrace diversity, protect the environment, promote peace, support equality and practice kindness.”  1

The group seems to primarily have been based on social media, having written, “Find us on social media to get our daily postings and interact with other fans and followers who are already making a difference.”  1

It asks for contributions, though it does not appear to be a tax-exempt organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  1

Taking Actions had 18,000 followers on Facebook as of January 2026. 3

    Opposition to Bias

Taking Actions pointed to FBI statistics that showed more than 7,600 crimes were based on bias against a victim because of race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity/national origin, or physical or mental disability in 2010. The organization notes that of those crimes, 6,628 criminal incidents were brought to trial.  1

The group stated, “We can shape the future by accepting people for who they are, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, political ideologies, or religious beliefs.”  1

    Activities

The group’s Facebook page asks, “How are we Taking Actions?” It answers by saying it is “using social media to share our mission,” “performing actions to raise awareness,” “inspiring people through different projects,” “participating in different forms of activism,” “supporting those who are already taking actions,” and “motivating people to be proactive.”  1

It poses the question, “How can you Take Actions?” Then answers that question by saying, “following and sharing us on social media,” “distributing our materials and promotional items,” “connecting with and helping local organizations,” “taking actions for a good cause or against what is wrong,” “donating to help us continue our work,” and “following our principles.”  1

It calls for people to “share this campaign with all your friends, co-workers and family members” who “believe we can change the world by spreading kindness and erasing hate.”  1

The group has stated, “If we all do our part and we take actions together; we will definitely make a difference in our diverse society.”  1

In a 2022 post on Twitter/X, the group wrote, “It’s hard to believe that we can harm our own kind in the name of greed and religion. I won’t get into politics, but there’s no justification for people to be killed because of any government decisions. We have already lost too many lives worldwide; we cannot loose our humanity.” 4

It also noted, “Not all information we find online is true. The internet is great, but it can also be used to spread misleading news and content. Just because some online content supports our beliefs and views, it’s doesn’t mean they are always true. Be aware of media manipulation.” 5
