Physicians Against Antisemitism
Physicians Against Antisemitism (PAA) is a watchdog organization that aims to expose antisemitic incidents, especially in health care. Founded in 2021 by a group of Jewish physicians, PAA supports Jewish colleagues and businesses; provides education about antisemitism, Judaism, and Israel; amplifies Jewish voices; and encourages Tzedakah, the Jewish concept of charitable giving. 1

Activities
Physicians Against Antisemitism was founded in 2021 in reaction to increasing antisemitism in the medical community perceived by its founding group of American Jewish physicians. Originally established as a small Facebook community, as of 2025 the PAA movement consisted of private Facebook groups for its physician members and public pages on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and X (formerly Twitter). These social media pages exist for health care workers and allies worldwide to learn and interact with each other, and to combat what it considers to be misinformation around Israel and the Jewish people from a health care perspective. 1
Physicians Against Antisemitism encourages individuals to report incidents of antisemitism, especially by healthcare workers, and exposes these antisemitic incidents on its social media. PAA exposed anti-Zionist sentiments from Honolulu internal medicine specialist Ryan Christopher Rao, who on June 16, 2025 posted “I Hope All The Zionists Are Deleted” on his public Facebook page, leading to a Change.org petition calling for his termination from the Queens Medical Center at Punchbowl, Hawaii. Rao later deleted his Facebook account. 2 As of 2025, the petition was being circulated on Facebook by like-minded organizations like My Land My Home Israel, Libertarians Fighting Anti-Semitism, Real Jewish Conservatives, and the Jewish and Chirstian Alliance for Israel. 3 In regards to antisemitic sentiments like this, PAA stated that wishing death and torture on humans beings is “not compatible with the oath we take as physicians.” 4
While Physicians Against Antisemitism’s primary focus is on incidents of antisemitism by health care workers, in 2024 PAA shared a controversial yearbook page from Palos Verdes High School in Southern California on its Instagram account. The yearbook contained an entire page dedicated to an essay titled “whose land is it anyway?” in which the student author claimed that Israel was on stolen land that was forcibly annexed from Palestinian communities. The author also claimed that this displacement of Palestinians ultimately allowed for the emergence of the terrorist group Hamas. The author went on to claim that the only things standing in the way of a potential two-state solution are the U.S., Israel’s far right, and Hamas. 5
Physicians Against Antisemitism does not support a single political party, claiming that there are antisemitic individual political figures and allies in both major parties. PAA advocates for strong leaders from all parties who support freedom, Israel, and the Jewish people, while standing against terrorism. To this end, Physicians Against Antisemitism supports individuals voting based on their personal values and priorities and not demonizing or name-calling those who do not vote similarly. 6
People
As of 2025, it was unclear who was involved with Physicians Against Antisemitism, however one of its co-founders was an anonymous “Momentum Healthcare Hero.” Momentum is a nonprofit organization that aims to empower women to use Jewish values to change the world and transform communities. 7
