The NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security is a coalition of non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) and a project of the Tides Center non-profit. 1 that advocates for United Nation member states to uphold Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000), or the Women, Peace and Security agenda; that affirms the protection of women’s rights in regions impacted by conflict as well as inclusion of women in peacekeeping and other humanitarian efforts in, “post-conflict reconstruction.” 1 2
Members of the coalition group include Amnesty International, Center for Reproductive Rights, Global Network of Women Peacekeepers (GNWP), Human Rights Watch, MADRE, Oxfam, and Refugees International. 3
