Hershey Indivisible Team (HIT) is an organization based in Derry Township and nearby regions of Pennsylvania, operating as part of the national left-of-center Indivisible Project. Founded in 2016, it declared itself one of the national Indivisible groups and committed to opposing an extremist agenda, electing “local champions,” and fighting for left-of-center policies. 1
Activities

HIT published an editorial on its website in May 2025, “Homeland Security Investigations-Who are they, what do they do and what have they become,” which accuses arresting officers with failing to provide suspects their Constitutional rights, and of being “Trump’s secret police.” In July 2025 the group published an article titled “Trump’s deportations could cost 115,000 jobs in Pennsylvania, report finds” as part of a supposed six million jobs lost nationally. 5 6

Controversies
Hershey Indivisible Team’s 501(c)(4) status was revoked by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on May 15, 2023, for failure to file tax returns for three straight years. As of July 2025, its last filing available on the IRS’s exempt organization search was a Form 990-N (e-postcard used for organizations that receive less than $50,000 in revenue) for the 2019 tax year. 11
HIT’s Facebook page was no longer available as of 2024 and it had no YouTube presence, which along with the IRS revocation led to a rumor that the group had disbanded. Indicators of continued operation as of 2025 include the launch of a new website, its presence on BlueSky, grants from Indivisible, and continued support of protests in resistance to what it calls extremist policies. 10
Funding
Hershey Indivisible Team received a July 2024 “GROW” grant from Indivisible Civics of an unspecified amount for its “GOTV – Stamp out MAGA” postcard parties targeting women under 40 in Pennsylvania’s 7th and 8th Congressional districts. 2
