Frontier Funds’ investments is managed in part by Frontegra, which was created by Frontier Partners and later became a subsidiary of Magellan Financial Group Limited. ^{4 5} Magellan Financial Group Limited subsidiaries also include Magellan Asset Management, a Sydney, Australia based investment management firm that states it invests in companies it argues will benefit from the “emerging consumer,” a cashless society, rising home prices in the United States, and “the dominance of business software giants.” ⁶

Frontier Funds is an investment company that was founded in 1996 and offers a series of mutual funds. Its investment portfolio is managed by Frontegra Asset Management, which was also created in 1996 by Frontier Partners. ⁷

Frontier Partners was founded in 1993 as an investment management company. ⁸ As of October 2023, Frontier Partners states that it has raised $40 billion from the United States, Europe, and Australia from major corporations, nonprofit organizations, colleges and universities, and local governments. ⁹

Frontegra is now a majority-owned subsidiary of Magellan Asset Management, serving as subadvisor for its Global Equity Fund, Global Sustainable Fund, Core Fund and Select Fund, which are referred to as its “MFG Funds.” Frontegra also has a subadvisory agreement with Hyperion Asset Management for its HyperiUS Fund. ¹⁰

ESG Mutual Funds

Frontier Funds offers a number of investment products associated with left-of-center environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles. Frontier MFG Global Sustainable Fund is a mutual fund offered by Frontier Funds that makes investments based on environmental, social and governance principles. It states that it analyzes investments based on whether they have what it describes as a “materially lower carbon risk factor.” It describes this as companies that have a so-called “low carbon intensity” and fossil fuel exposure. ¹¹

As of October 2023, Frontier MFG Global Sustainable Fund’s top ten holdings include Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nestle, Yum!, Meta, SAP SE, Novartis AG, Dollar General, and Booking Holdings. ¹²

William Forsyth

William Forsyth is the president of Frontier Funds and has worked as the president of Frontegra since 2008. He is the founder of Frontier Partners, the consulting firm and parent company of Frontier Funds, and has worked as its president since its inception. From 1996 to 2008, Forsyth was co-president and assistant secretary of Frontegra. ¹³
