Front Range Anti-Fascists (FRAF) is an Antifa group that identifies alleged far-right activists in the Boulder, Colorado area. FRAF is a member of the Torch Antifa Network. 1

In November 2025, FRAF publicly accused a student affiliated with the right-of-center group Turning Point USA at the University of Colorado Boulder of being a racist and a far-right activist. Soon after, the student was assaulted on campus. 2

Background

Antifa groups claim inspiration from 1930s-era extreme-left-wing German street protesters opposed to the rising Nazi regime. 3 Modern “black bloc” Antifa surfaced in the 1980s, allegedly to oppose neo-fascist skinhead movements. 3

Like other Antifa organizations, Front Range Anti-Fascists lacks a centralized structure and is secretive about its membership and leadership. The organization’s public-facing front is a blog that posts about alleged threats from fascists and racists in Boulder, Colorado. Neither the website’s homepage nor any blog posts mention FRAF members or leaders by name. 3 4 FRAF’s blog only provides an email address. 5

FRAF is a member of the national Torch Antifa Network. 1

FRAF lists “points of unity” on its website which describe its commitment to the Antifa movement. The group states that it is dedicated to “[disrupting] fascist and far right organizing and activity,” but refuses to utilize law enforcement or the court system. FRAF declares its opposition to all forms of “oppression and exploitation,” including “colonialism, racism, sexism, nativism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination against the disabled, the oldest, the youngest.” FRAF’s ideological commitment also includes support for abortion access. 1

Activities

Front Range Anti-Fascists engages in the identification of alleged far-right activists, particularly those it claims are members of the Ku Klux Klan and Patriot Front. 6

FRAF’s first post on its blog was made on February 28, 2021. The post identified an alleged attendee of the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol by supporters of then-former President Donald Trump. The post included the individual’s name, picture, business, and home address. The post also contained an update identifying a neighbor of the individual who publicly condemned FRAF for the initial post. 6 7

In November 2023, FRAF identified an alleged far-right activist who attended anti-drag queen protests and made numerous racist and misogynistic posts on social media. 8

In September 2024, FRAF identified the leader of a local social club in Colorado who at the time was publishing a newsletter that espoused alleged anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant sentiments. 9

As of December 2025, FRAF’s website had six posts. At the time, the most recent post on FRAF’s blog was made on November 20, 2025. The post, a collaboration between FRAF and Colorado Springs Anti-Fascists, claimed to provide the “dox” of a University of Colorado Boulder student allegedly involved in Patriot Front, Active Club, and Turning Point USA (TPUSA). FRAF referred to the student’s work with TPUSA as “fascist extracurricular activities.” It also noted that TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk staunchly opposed Patriot Front and other far-right groups, but FRAF alleged that since his murder in September 2025, far-right groups had formed closer links with TPUSA. FRAF also posted flyers on the university campus and sent emails to local media outlets declaring the student to be a far-right activist. 6 10 2 11

Three days after the post was made, the student claimed he was assaulted from behind with multiple strikes by someone wielding a hockey stick while riding his bike on campus. A press release from the City of Boulder stated that the victim was likely followed by the assailant prior to the attack, and that the assailant was wearing all black clothes, including a ski mask. 11 12

On Front Range Anti-Fascists’ website, the group lists Colorado Springs Anti-Fascists as a “resource” for “antifascist organizing.” For “security” resources, the website lists CrimethInc Ex-Workers Collective, an decentralized collective of anarchist activists who oppose Western authority structures, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a left-of-center digital rights advocacy organization. 13
