The DA Global Access Network, also known simply as DA Global, is a left-of-center international education consortium that promotes diversity and inclusion within the educational field. The DA Global Access Network developed the Global Education Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program, which the organization claims is a learning experience that gives participants the opportunity to “develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence” that is needed to “champion global inclusive excellence initiatives.” The program also claims that participants will learn to lead organizations in “developing, implementing, and improving diversity and inclusion strategies” in international education. 1 2

The organization also has a page on its website titled “Global Access & Opportunity For All.” The page claims that diversity, inclusion, and opportunity are “not just values” but “essential” for “ensuring” the field of international education “serves and has a meaningful impact” on students, communities, and institutions. 3

Background

The DA Global Access Network, also known as DA Global, is a left-of-center international consortium that promotes diversity and inclusion programs within the educational field. The organization was founded in 2006 as “Diversity Abroad” before changing its name to DA Global Access Network in 2025. The “DA” in DA Global Access Network stands for “Diversified Action.” 4 2

According to DA Global’s website, DiversityAbroad.com was the “first online resource” that was “dedicated to connecting diverse students” with international learning opportunities. The Diversity Abroad Network launched in 2009, which DA Global claims it was the first “membership consortium” that was “solely dedicated to inclusive excellence” in international education. 5 2

The organization launched its Diversity Abroad Conference, also known as the Global Impact Conference, in 2013 while starting its Global Student Leadership Summit in 2015. DA Global also released its Global Equity and Inclusion Guidelines in 2017. These guidelines aimed to “support institutions in embedding inclusive practices and policies” within their “global education operations.” 5 2

DiversityAbroad.com was later replaced by BeGlobalii, another website that provides resources and information to prospective international students, in 2024. As of 2025, Andrew Gordon is listed as the founder and CEO for DA Global. 5 6 7 8
