The Educational Media Foundation (EMF) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit ministry that creates, markets, and distributes Christian media. EMF aims to inspire its audience to have a meaningful relationship with Christ through radio, film, podcasts, and live events. 1

Operations

The Educational Media Foundation owns and operates K-LOVE Radio and Air1, two of the nation’s largest Christian music radio networks. 2 EMF also operates AccessMore, a Christian podcast network featuring faith-based audio shows. 3

The Educational Media Foundation oversees WTA Media, a for-profit faith-based film and publishing company. WTA Media provides services like product development, marketing and financing, and distribution. 4

Funding

The Educational Media Foundation is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations. While EMF does not disclose its donors, tax filings confirm donations from the Christian Community Foundation ($54,707 in 2017), 5 the Chicago Community Trust ($50,600 in 2017), 6 and the San Diego Foundation ($50,000 in 2019). 7

People

Bill Reeves is the CEO of the Educational Media Foundation. Reeves is the founder and CEO of WTA Media. 8 Dean Stordahl is the chair of the board and the former CEO of a hospital operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs. 9

Mark Brannon is the vice chair and sits on the board of the Covenant Trust. 10

Emil Kallina is a co-founder of the Planned Giving Design Center and formerly sat on the board of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners. 11

Other members of the board include Walt Golembeski, Michael Lewis, Alan Mason, Larry Moody, and Mark Voltmann. 12
