To bring clean energy access and energy savings to low-income communities, provide backup power when storms hit, and support green workforce training and environmental education for local students. Grants monies from the Salesforce Fund may not be used to purchase products or services from Salesforce or any Salesforce subsidiary; or transferred to a 501(c)(4) organization or used for any lobbying purposes. By accepting this grant, your organization agrees to provide relevant reporting to Salesforce approximately 12 months after the receipt of funds. Reporting parameters will be mutually agreed-upon between your organization and Salesforce.
To enable Solar One to retain its personnel so that the organization can continue to engage and educate the diverse urban, mostly LMI communities and individuals we serve throughout New York City, including NYC public school students and teachers, energy burdened working class New Yorkers, and vulnerable individuals in need of our workforce services preparing them for steady, livable wage employment.
SOLAR ONE WILL SUPPORT NYCEEC IN: (I) ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO A RANGE OF COMMUNITY INPUT AND OWNERSHIP IN CLEAN ENERGY INITIATIVES; (II) DEVELOPING A TRAINED CLEAN ENERGY WORKFORCE, PROVIDING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES ESPECIALLY WHERE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN EVENLY DISTRIBUTED, BUILDING CAPACITY AND INCREASING NUMBERS OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS QUALIFIED AND READY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WORKFORCE, SUPPORTING ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CLEAN ENERGY PROJECTS.
