PolicyLink Equity Action Network is the advocacy arm of PolicyLink. It supports its programs and extends its advocacy by campaigning for left-of-center candidates aligned with PolicyLink’s programs. 1 2

PolicyLink Equity Action Network’s Equitable Society program campaigns in support of public policies that would increase government involvement in housing and government spending in support of ethnic minorities under the guise of equity. 3

Background

PolicyLink Equity Action Network was founded in 2015 as the advocacy arm of PolicyLink to support candidates, campaigns, and programs aligned with PolicyLink’s advocacy. It also supports PolicyLink’s programs, sharing some funding between organizations. 4

PolicyLink Equity Action Network and PolicyLink advocate for left-of-center policies and cultural changes on racial issues as they pertain to economic and health disparities. 5 PolicyLink’s “Equity Manifesto” describes equity as it is incorporated in its policy advocacy, stating equity includes addressing any racist events in history, so-called existing “racist systems,” and any other ways any individual or group could possibly be oppressed. 6

Programs

Liberation in a Generation Action is a fiscally sponsored project of PolicyLink Equity Action Network. It campaigns in support of left-wing candidates and policies at all levels of government, seeking to economically empower or “liberate” ethnic minorities under the guise of racial justice. 7

PolicyLink Equity Action Network and PolicyLink have a Just Society program, and in 2021, PolicyLink Equity Action Network received and spent $239,500 for the program. 8 It advocates for policies that would implement equity standards for publicly issued fines, alternatives to traditional policing, and social policies supporting ethnic-minority males. 9

PolicyLink Equity Action Network and PolicyLink have an Equitable Society program, and in 2021, PolicyLink Equity Action Network did not report on its tax returns receiving or spending any money on the program. 10 The program includes a variety of campaigns that support redistributionist left-wing policies that would increase government funding of housing and other programs. 11

People

Angela Glover is the founder of PolicyLink Equity Action and PolicyLink and works as the president of PolicyLink. Previously, she was a member of the advisory board of Beneficial State Bank, worked as a senior vice president for Rockefeller Foundation, founded the Oakland Urban Strategies Council, and cofounded National Community Building Network. 12

According to its tax returns, PolicyLink Equity Action Network reported receiving $239,500 in total revenue for 2021, which it also reports and spending and receiving the same amount on for its Just Society program. 13 14 It also reported spending $330,000 in total expenditures. 15
