MTG Research, Inc., is the 501(c)(4) sister organization of the Mind the Gap Super PAC, a prominent Democratic PAC. Graham Gottlieb, who is the treasurer of Mind the Gap PAC, is the president of MTG Research, Inc; and Iris Brest is the director. 1 The organization primarily researches “civic engagement tactics” to increased the effectiveness of voter registration and turnout efforts which primarily target “unmarried women, people of color, and millennials. 2
While the organizations did not receive any contributions in 2020, it did receive $514,042 in contributions in 2019. 3 MTG Research gave $50,000 to Mind the Gap in 2019 and spent $260,000 for other purposes. 4 It also spent $30,679 on political campaign expenditures in 2020. 5
