    Background

Moms for America is a conservative education advocacy organization. 1 The organization says it has a threefold mission: empower moms, promote liberty, and raise patriots. 1

Moms for American says it wants to build a national movement of moms promoting principles of liberty and a “culture of truth, family and freedom in our homes and communities.” The organization says it focuses on the principles of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. 2

Moms for America says that all staff, board members, and contractors must agree with certain core values and beliefs that include God-given rights, personal responsibility, that freedom is the foundation for a good society, the value of family, parental rights, and that freedom and rights are maintained through engaged citizens. The organization says its official color is lavender because that is the color the represents refinement, grace, and elegance and most commonly symbolizes love, devotion, and purity. 2

    Initiatives

During the 2022 midterm elections, Moms for America launched its MomVote initiative to keep mothers informed about issues in the election. 6 The program educates and encourages moms about the importance of voting and staying active politically. 3

In 2021, Moms for America launched the National Parents Strike to protest school mask mandates. 4

In December 2020, Moms for America held a Keep Christmas Rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., for to support continued recognition of the Christmas holiday. 3

In 2020, Moms for America released “The Purple Chair,” a video series that argues to the media and politicians about the concerns of suburban women. The video series shows nine suburban moms from all races and ages take a seat in the purple chair to speak about their concerns. 7

Ahead of the 2020 election, Moms for America held a rally in Washington, D.C., to thank President Donald Trump for his policies on public safety, school choice, and patriotism. The group also rallied in Washington to support the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. 5

The organization’s annual Cottage Meeting Project holds meetings around the country to promote activism and education. 3 The Declaration of Mothers serves as the standard for Moms for America and the Moms March Movement. It is about telling policy makers and the media what to promote in society, schools, government, and communities. 8
