The Jack Miller Family Foundation (JMFF) is a private grantmaking organization that primarily supports nonprofit organizations with a focus on freedom and Jewish initiatives associated with the family of Chicago-area businessman Jack Miller. 1 Before the Jack Miller Family Foundation was organized in 2005, the Miller family’s philanthropy was conducted through the Audrey and Jack Miller Family Charitable Foundation, the Jack and Goldie Wolfe Miller Foundation, and the JM Freedom Foundation. 2
The Jack and Goldie Wolfe Miller Fund is a fund related to the Jack Miller Family Foundation. 3
Grantmaking
The Jack Miller Family Foundation primarily provides grants to organizations with a focus on freedom and Jewish initiatives. JMFF’s grants supporting freedom initiatives are given to organizations focused on education, including those promoting, defending, and advocating America’s founding principles. 4 JMFF’s grants supporting Jewish initiatives are given to organizations focused on defending the State of Israel, strengthening Jewish identity in the U.S., combating antisemitism, and supporting the social welfare of Jews worldwide. 5
The Jack Miller Family Foundation also provides grants to educational and training programs that support people becoming their best, organizations supporting medical research and treatment methods focused mainly on issues experienced by members of Jack Miller’s family, and community organizations primarily located in the Chicago metropolitan area and Palm Beach County, Florida. 6
Projects and Partner Organizations
The Jack Miller Family Foundation provides financial support to its partner organizations, which include the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy, the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative, and the Jack Miller Center for Teaching America’s Founding Principles and History. 7 Financial support to its partner, the Leading Edge Alliance, is provided by the Jack and Goldie Wolfe Miller Fund, a fund related to JMFF. 3
The American Civics and History Initiative (ACHI) is a joint project of the Jack Miller Center, the Bill of Rights Institute, and the Ashbrook Center. ACHI is a multi-year project, first launched in Florida, that seeks to deepen the knowledge of social studies teachers at the middle and high school levels. ACHI aims to create patriotic citizens through civics education that teaches America’s founding principles and history while reversing education movements that have minimized, denigrated, or omitted these issues from civics curricula. 8
