Emergent Fund Action is a fiscally sponsored project of the Proteus Action League, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit. As such, Emergent Fund Action is not an IRS-designated nonprofit and does not file annual IRS filings. Grants from the Fund are made via the Proteus Action League.

According to its website, the Emergent Fund and Emergent Fund Action are primarily funded by Solidaire Network (itself a project of the Proteus Fund), Women Donors Network, Threshold Foundation, and the Democracy Alliance. ¹
