Americans for Peace and Tolerance (APT) is an advocacy organization that claims to promote protections for American students and other members of the public from” radical ideologies that undermine the academic integrity at American High Schools and Universities.” 1 The organization claims to be comprised of “Christians, Moslems, and Jews” and advocates on promoting ” a climate of tolerance and civil society in our educational system and community.” 1

African Jewish Alliance

The African Jewish Alliance (AJA) is a project of Americans for Peace and Tolerance (APT), claiming to promote educating the public on the “nature and extent of Islamist extremism and jihad…[and] liberate slaves and hostages of the global jihad.” 2

The African Jewish Alliance claims that Christians and moderate Muslims in African nations such as Nigeria and Sudan are threatened with and endure sexual violence, enslavement, and becoming hostages by Islamic terrorist groups operating in the region. The group also claims to report on what it calls the “silent genocide” it claims has been “downplayed by Western journalists and NGOs because of concerns about Islamophobia.”3

Coalition members of the African Jewish Alliance include the American Anti-Slavery Group, American Veterans of Igbo Descent, the Damanga Coalition for Freedom and Democracy, the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel, the International Committee on Nigeria, the Jewish Leadership Project, the LEAH Foundation, and Simon Deng, a South Sudanese man who was enslaved by jihadists as a child. 2

Funding

Americans for Peace and Tolerance is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and businesses.
