A New Missouri, Inc. is a political advocacy group that was formed by supporters and former campaign staff of then-Missouri Governor Eric Greitens (R) in 2017. 1 Now-Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams (R) was the secretary and treasurer of A New Missouri. 2

In 2018, the organization faced criticism from left-of-center group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington for paying for some of then-Governor Greitens’ travel expenses and other activities. 3

A New Missouri, Inc. was established on February 5, 2017, to support the legislative agenda of then-Missouri Governor Eric Greitens (R). 4

As of 2023, Ladonna Droke is the director of A New Missouri, Inc. Robin Simpson is the organization’s president. 5

Now-Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams (R) was the secretary and treasurer of A New Missouri, Inc. 6 Other Greitens campaign staff, including campaign consultant and former aide to former Vice President Mike Pence Nick Ayers and campaign finance director Meredith Gibbons, also worked for A New Missouri. 7

Activities and Funding

A New Missouri, Inc. spent money in support of then-Missouri Governor Eric Greitens (R) policy agenda and attacked his political opponents. 8 9

A New Missouri, Inc. faced criticism from left-leaning watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington in 2018 for paying for some of then-Governor Greitens’ travel expenses and other activities. 10

During Greitens’s 2018 impeachment inquiry, some members of the state legislature believed A New Missouri was used to conceal the identities of major donors. 11 In February 2020, A New Missouri faced allegations in front of the Missouri Ethics Commission for failing to file a statement of organization, campaign finance disclosure reports, and other documents. 12

Political Activities

In 2018, A New Missouri, Inc. gave $500,000 to Freedom to Work. 13 In 2017, the organization gave $1,500,000 to Freedom to Work, $350,000 to Missourians for Worker Freedom, and $7,500 to the Republican Jewish Coalition. 14

A New Missouri’s vendors have included C5 Creative Consulting, a firm run by former Greitens campaign staffer and aide to former Vice President Mike Pence Nick Ayers. 15
