John Gilroy is director of the U.S. Public Lands program with Pew Charitable Trusts. Gilroy formerly worked as a campaign staffer for the center-left advocacy group New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) and as executive director of the Vermont Public Interest Research Group.
