Kanter formerly served as a Legislative Assistant to Abner Mikva (D-Ill) and as a Staff Director of the House Rules Committee’s Subcommittee on Legislative Process under former Congressman Gillis Long (D-La.). He is a frequent donor to left-wing candidates.
