Gloria Kaylie was the wife of the late Harvey Kaylie and co-founder of the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Foundation, which supports organizations involved in education, cancer research, health, and assistance for individuals with disabilities.

Marriage and Philanthropy

Gloria Kaylie married her late husband, Mini-Circuits Inc. founder Harvey Kaylie, in 1961. Beginning in 2000, Harvey and gloria Kaylie began giving millions of dollars a year to religious, educational, and medical institutions through the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Foundation. 1

Top recipients include educational institutional such as City College of New York and Yeshiva University. 2

The Kaylies also donated to Jewish organizations such as Yeshiva Har Torah in Little Neck, New York; Great Neck Synagogue; and Chabad of Great Neck; arts organizations inclduing the Gold Coast Arts Center in Great Neck Plaza; and medical institutions such as OHEL Children’s Home and Family Service, Weil Cornell Medical College, 3  and the Israel Cancer Research Foundation. 4

In 2010, Gloria and Harvey Kaylie opened Camp Kaylie, a summer camp in upstate New York that included children with special needs. 5

Board and Memberships

Gloria Kaylie sits on the board of the Israel Cancer Research Foundation as well as Shaare Zedek, 6 the third-oldest synagogue in New York City. 7

Kaylie is also a member of United Jewish Appeal, a Jewish philanthropic umbrella organization; Hadassah, an American women’s Zionist organization; and a number of other Jewish organizations. 8

Honors

In 2010, Gloria and Harvey Kaylie were formally commended by the New York State Senate for their designation by OHEL Children’s Home and Family Services as Guests of Honor. 9

In 2017, Harvey and Gloria Kaylie received the Rambam Award from the Rambam Health Care Campus in Israel in gratitude for Harvey Kaylie establishing a branch of Ravon Electronics, itself a branch of Mini-Circuits, Inc. in northern Israel; for the couples’ creation of the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Foundation; for funding social services for the Jewish community in America and Israel; for supporting Jewish educational and religious institutions; and for donating to the Kaylie Kidney Health Center of Excellence at Rambam Health Care Campus. 10
