The Unfuck America Tour is a project to leverage left-of-center social media influencers and content creators at events at college campuses across the country to counter the influence of the right-of-center advocacy group Turning Point USA (TPUSA), especially among young white men, and to “reignite the Democratic youth vote.” 1 2
It is a project of the Democratic Party-aligned National Ground Game PAC. 3 4 National Ground Game PAC describes itself as “building the Democratic counter to TPUSA,” and asks visitors to its website to “join us to stop MAGA and win elections.” 5
In April 2025, some influencers severed their relationships with the Tour after its lead organizer, former campaign operative for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) Zee Cohen-Sanchez, was accused of behaving in a racist manner toward Black content creators during a video livestream. 6
Overview
The Unfuck America Tour was designed and promoted by Democratic-aligned political operatives as a direct counterpoint to the success of center-right student organizing group Turning Point USA. 7 Its model was to counter-program TPUSA events at colleges and universities across the country with its own “Prove Me Wrong” events featuring popular left-leaning social media influencers and content creators. 7
It is a project of National Ground Game PAC, which was created in November 2024 by Sole Strategies, a Democratic Party-aligned political consulting firm formed by Democratic strategist and former Bernie Sanders campaign operative Zee Cohen-Sanchez. 4 3
In an interview with Mike Pesca of The Gist, Cohen-Sanchez said, “We went mega-viral, which was the point… We wanted to go mega-viral so we could raise the money so that we could start up a voter registration program, which we were able to do.” 8
After the murder of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, Unfuck America went ahead with a scheduled event at Colorado State University on September 18 that had been scheduled to coincide with a TPUSA event. Cohen-Sanchez explained the decision to go ahead with the event as “picking up the mic from Charlie, but not in the same direction in which he was going.” 2
Participating Creators
According to organizer Zee Cohen-Sanchez, the Unfuck America Tour was “looking for people who are much cooler than Charlie Kirk,” but admitted that among left-of-center social media influencers, “We didn’t have a lot of choices, if I’m being honest with you” because “If you go on TikTok, you go on these, you know, apps, there’s really not a lot of people on the Left that are doing this in a way that is quote-unquote ‘cool,’ right, like the right wing are doing.” 8
Influencer participants included Steven “Destiny” Kenneth Bonnell II, Amy Zellmer, AndrewJD, Anna Pledger, Las Vegas radio show host Brian Shapiro, “ex-MAGA influencer” Camp Callout, CFH Unfiltered, comedian Chelsea Gods, Corey Magyar, “That Black Veteran” Dom Henderson, Ed Ledezma-Moncada, Ethan Alexander, Hunter Kozak, Josh McD, Canadian streamer Kyla Turner, Logix, Madeline Summerville, “The Soy Pill” Niels Griedel, Oliver Niehaus, Robby Roadsteamer, and Vic Meyers. 9 Other participants who later disassociated themselves from the tour included Dean Withers, Parker “Get a Job” Sedgewick, and Peyton Vanest. 10
According to Cohen-Sanchez, only Withers and Sedgewick were paid for their participation. 2
Racism Controversy
In April 2025, Black creators discussed the Unfuck America Tour on the “Talks With Ali” TikTok stream, expressing criticism over the Tour’s perceived focus on white male influencers. 11
More than four hours into the stream, Tour organizer Zee Cohen-Sanchez joined to respond to the participants’ criticisms, resulting in a contentious debate between her and the participants. 11
In the wake of the video, some influencers disassociated themselves from the Tour. TikTok influencer Peyton Vanest, who said he had been approached by Unfuck America to participate in an event at Texas A&M University and had agreed to do so before the controversy broke out, posted a video on April 19, 2025 in which he described Cohen-Sanchez as “horrible at organizing, by the way, just wanted to point that out” and claimed, “turns out she’s incredibly racist.” 6
Vanest described Cohen-Sanchez’s interaction with Black creators as “spew[ing] anti-Black rhetoric” and claiming, “There’s no way you watch this and don’t think she’s racist… There is no other way to interpret what she did, she was just being racist.” 6
In an interview with Mike Pesca of The Gist, Cohen-Sanchez characterized her participation in the livestream as “definitely a mistake to engage at all,” because “these people were long-time agitators” who had preexisting conflicts with some of the high-profile content creators on the Tour. 2
Finances
During the height of the Unfuck America Tour between January 1, 2025 and September 30, 2025, the National Ground Game PAC reported $723,807 in receipts and $693,393 in expenses. 3
Between January and August of 2025, National Ground Game reported paying $294,247, or 42.4 percent of its total expenditures, to Sole Strategies. 12 In the wake of the controversy over Cohen-Sanchez’s management of the Tour, some influencers questioned the necessity of such a large percentage of revenues going to the organizers. 13
