The organization NY Buddhist Climate Action Network was first created in 2015 to create programs to educate Buddhists on issues of climate change. Since 2015 the organization has grown to support the smaller organizations called Extinction Rebellion, The Climate Mobilization, Sunrise Movement, and School and Youth Strikers. 1 The organization signed onto a petition to support the Green New Deal. 2
