Background
The Hague Humanity Hub (HHH) is a left-of-center private grantmaking foundation based in The Hague, Netherlands. It was co-founded in 2018 by the Hague Institute for the Innovation of Law (HiiL). 1
The organization offers membership for individuals, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, and private organizations. The membership, which starts at €37.50 (approximately $41.25) per month and is for individuals only, allows members to attend events and host meetings at HHH’s headquarters. 3
Membership also allows organizations and individuals to rent workspaces at the HHH headquarters. The organization charges €350 (around $385) per month for a dedicated desk for an individual or team, and €250 (approximately $275) per month to use a workspace at any time. HHH also offers a shared co-working membership starting at €120 (around $132) per month. 3
The Hague Humanity Hub also rents out workspaces and rooms for workshops, meetings, or networking events. 5
The organization is an SDG House, meaning the organization follows the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is adopted by all member states of the United Nations, notes the 17 SDGs that are to be implemented by 2030 include no poverty, zero hunger, gender equality, affordable and clean energy, and climate action. 2 6

The Hague Humanity Hub physically houses several organizations at its headquarters including Mercy Corps Netherlands, an international aid organization. 7
HHH is also partnered with more than 35 organizations via its membership including, the Asser Institute, Environmental Investigation Agency, Environment Europe, Global Governance Forum, International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, HALO Trust, United Nations Refugee Agency, and the American Bar Association, an American professional organization for lawyers. 4 8
People
Jill Wilkinson is the managing director for the Hague Humanity Hub and has held that position since its inception in 2018. 9 Wilkinson worked at the technology company Siemens Nederland from 1988 until 2006, beginning as a business and market analyst before working in various management positions related to communications and strategy. 9
She worked at a consulting firm as its principal consultant and interim manager from 2006 until 2013. She founded her own consultancy firm, Jill Wilkinson Consultancy, in October 2017 and continues to act as its director. 9
Wilkinson was named one of the Top 100 Women in Social Enterprise by the Euclid Network, a left-of-center organization focused on people who create start-up organizations that focus on social issues such as climate change that is funded by the European Union. 10 11
