At-A-Glance

Contents

GSC was formerly a fiscally sponsored project of the far-left Alliance for Global Justice (AFGJ). 3 As of 2025, GSC claimed on its website to be a standalone organization with charitable status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). However, its listed tax ID is that of the Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees, which sponsors a number of similar left-of-center organizations. On the Association’s website, GSC is listed as one of its fiscally sponsored projects. 4 5 6

    Background

The Good Shepherd Collective (GSC) is a pro-Palestinian group founded in 2017 which claims that the “systems and laws guiding civil formation and order” are themselves “oppressive,” while defining itself as “anti-Zionist, anti-colonial, and, by definition, anti-capitalist.” 1

    Activities

The Good Shepherd Collective (GSC) advocates for a “process of decolonization” in which economic assets and resources will be “decoupled form capitalist systems of control.”  1

GSC hosts “political tours” in the Palestinian territories to promote “global awareness” of what it calls the Israeli “occupation” as well as how “colonial systems” advance “ capitalist interests” and “bolster[s] economic exploitation.”  7 2

GSC claims to operate “high impact, disruptive” advocacy campaigns and actions that “directly challenge settler-colonialism and neoliberal identity politics” to promote “Palestinian voices.”  8

    Financials

Good Shepherd Collective (GSC) was formerly a fiscally sponsored project of the far-left Alliance for Global Justice (AFGJ). 3 As of 2025, GSC  claimed on its website to be a standalone organization with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt designation from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). However, its listed tax ID is that of the Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees, which sponsors a number of similar left-of-center organizations. On the Association’s website, GSC is listed as one of its fiscally sponsored projects. 4 5 6

In 2023, the Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees reported revenue of $236,215, total expenses of $246,428, and net assets of $142,745. 9
