    Background

    Fairbanks 4 Palestine has held a handful of local events, mainly protests.  3 In October 2024, the group announced a “weekly solidarity protest” every Sunday at noon at the Cushman bridge in Downtown Fairbanks.  4

    On March 27, 2026, the group held an event titled ‘From the Bison to the Olive Tree,’ which reflected on “20 Years of Nonviolent Resistance from the West Bank to Standing Rock, Fairbanks to Minneapolis.”  5

    March on Washington for Gaza

    The March on Washington for Gaza was organized by American Muslim Task Force on Palestine, which comprises American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Muslim Student Association-National (MSA) and Muslim Legal Fund of America (MLFA), among others. The route started at Freedom Plaza and ended at Lafayette Square, across the street from the White House.  6
