Sierra Club Pennsylvania previously advocated in favor of the Pennsylvania Reliable Energy Sustainability Standard (PRESS), a state-wide proposal that would require weather-dependent energy sources to comprise of 35 percent of Pennsylvania’s energy sources by 2035. The group also opposes fossil fuel-based energy, stating “[s]top the expansion of gas export projects in their tracks before they can contribute to our climate crisis, pollute our water, land, and communities.”  11  12

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Group of the Sierra Club Pennsylvania was a participant in the No Kings protests, a movement of left-of-center groups aimed at protesting the Trump administration. SPG’s website advertised the October 18, 2025 protest on its website, stating more than 7 million nationwide “participated in peaceful rallies to protest Donald Trump’s policies.”  5  13
