The Justice Project was an advocacy organization that supported policy changes that would aid criminal defense attorneys in representing their clients, especially in death-penalty cases.
Background
The Justice Project was founded in the early 2000s 1 to promote policies that would assist criminal defense attorneys and public defendants in criminal cases. 2
The organization supported positions such as increasing use of DNA evidence in criminal cases and ensuring prosecutors share evidence they obtain with defense attorneys. 2 The organization also supported limiting the admissibility of jail-house informant evidence, or “snitch” evidence, as the organization referred to the subject. 3

Leadership
John Terzano was the president and co-founder of the Justice Project. 8 Prior to joining the Justice Project, Terzano was the vice president of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation. 8
