    Background

The Front Line was established in 2026 by allies of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to counter antisemitism that it perceives to be on the rise on the American right and in the Republican Party. Sen. Cruz is not directly involved in the organization, 1 but has taken a position critical of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish commentators including Tucker Carlson, Nick Fuentes, and Candace Owens.  1

The group called right-wing antisemitism an “existential crisis” within the GOP. 2

Planning for the organization began in the summer of 2025 when Sen. Cruz grew more vocal with his concerns about rising antisemitism within American right-of-center politics.  1

As of August 2026, TFL’s executive director was Arielle F. Klepach, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida and former senior counsel for the National Jewish Advocacy Center.  1

Klepach said upon TFL’s launch: “There has been a surge of antisemitism across America, which first engulfed the left and is now threatening the moral integrity and political unity of the conservative movement and the Republican Party. I am excited to lead The Front Line’s efforts to defeat right-wing antisemitism before it takes conservatives down the same path of anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and pro-Sharia advocacy that has taken the left.”  1

TFL is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, which allows the organization to spend money on political activity and not disclose donors.  1

The group raised several million dollars to fund the operation ahead of the launch, Jewish Insider reported.  1

    Political Activity

The Front Line says it “seeks to defeat antisemitic candidates at all levels of the Republican Party, first by mapping federal, state, and local primaries, and then by running effective messaging campaigns to ensure that they lose, highlighting and ensuring that antisemitism is an electoral liability for Republican candidates.”  1

TFL’s first ad was a $400,000 expenditure in the 2026 Florida Republican gubernatorial primary against candidate James Fishback. The 36-second spot used artificial intelligence to make Fishback look like a talking bass. It was aired during a 2026 FIFA World Cup soccer match between England and Norway. 3

Arielle Kelpach, the TFL executive director, said that Fishback “has embraced being an antisemitic troll because he thinks it’s a path to success in modern American politics.”  3

    Messaging

The Front Line describes itself as “an issue advocacy organization aligned with the positions of Ted Cruz dedicated to countering right-wing antisemitism, by making antisemitism disqualifying in the Republican Party and conservative movement, through activities across political, policy, and digital spaces.”  1=

The organization also says it plans to create infrastructure for “time monitoring and response to right-wing antisemitism,” and to seek deactivation of inauthentic social media accounts promoting right-wing antisemitic messages.  1

It further says that it seeks to “counter Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamism, and the global persecution of Christians by Islamist extremists.” It also seeks to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Israel. 1
