Teaching In Motion Inc. (T.I.M.) is a Georgia-based education organization that supports students taking college admissions exams; helps students study core curriculum courses including math, reading, science; and provides athletic education. 1
History and Leadership
Teaching In Motion Inc. was founded in 2021 by Timothy L. Coleman III. 2 In July 2022, the organization was granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. 3
As of March 2024, T.I.M. founder Timothy Coleman is the organization’s president and CEO. 4 5
Activities and Funding
Teaching in Motion Inc. is a nonprofit education-focused organization that supports underprivileged communities and students in core curriculum courses including math, reading, and science. It also supports athletic-related education. 6
T.I.M. provides free college preparatory courses for the College Board’s Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), the American College Testing (ACT) test, and other test-taking skills through a private grant. T.I.M. has worked with other non-profit organizations to support after-school science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs. T.I.M. also provides funding for athletic equipment and education on the changing National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) eligibility standards for student athletes. 7
The organization also awards an annual service award; 8 provides meals, toiletries, and clothing for the homeless; and runs a donation program for underserved communities. 9

Teaching In Motion Incorporated (T.I.M.) receives funding from individual donations and grants. 10 In 2023, TIM reported revenue and expenses of less than $50,000. 11
