Students for Life Action (SFLAction) is an anti-abortion youth organization that trains and mobilizes pro-life leaders to influence elections and impact public policy to abolish abortion on a state-by-state basis. 1

Students for Life Action is the lobbying and electoral advocacy arm of Students for Life of America. 2

Activities

Founded in 2019, Students for Life Action recruits and builds teams of pro-life advocates in an effort to defend human life, which it defines as spanning “from conception to natural death.” With a special focus on ending early abortions, SFLAction uses a grassroots approach to mobilize the millions of people already connected with Students for Life of America to protect the unborn. 3

Students for Life Action tracks and monitors abortion-related bills and has helped introduce anti-abortion legislation at both the state and federal levels. In 2022, SFLAction assisted the Oklahoma state legislature in passing its “Life at Conception” bill. 4

Students for Life Action also seeks to end abortion on a federal level, and in a 2022 letter to Congress, SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins called for stronger laws and policies to defend unborn life. Hawkins claimed that while some politicians remain silent on the issue of abortion to avoid conflict, the federal government is in fact not abortion neutral, and that current pro-abortion policy and funding uses taxpayer money to end lives. 5

Board of Directors

Kristan Hawkins is the president of Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action. Hawkins formerly served on the Republican National Committee, as an appointee at the Department of Health and Human Services during the George W. Christina Hagan is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives. 10

Shaun Kenney is a vice president of the American Life League and a former executive director of the Republican Party of Virginia. 11

Greg Mueller is the CEO of CRC Advisors. Mueller formerly worked as a senior aide for the Republican presidential campaigns of Pat Buchanan and Steve Forbes. 12

Ray Ruddy is the founder of the Gerard Health Foundation, which funds pro-life causes, abstinence education, and efforts to end AIDS/HIV. 13

Scott Walker is a Republican politician and the former governor of Wisconsin. 14 Walker sits on the boards of Students for Life of America, the American Federation for Children, and the Center for State-led National Debt Solutions. 15
